During the use of the cylinder initial cleaning screen, some common malfunctions may affect the normal operation and screening effectiveness of the equipment.

    Equipment Startup Malfunctions

    Motor Fails to Start

The motor's inability to start is a common malfunction. Possible causes include power supply issues, such as unstable voltage or damaged power lines. Faults within the motor itself, like short-circuited or open windings, can also prevent it from starting. Additionally, damaged components in the control circuit, such as switches and contactors, may affect the motor's normal startup.

    Immediate Shutdown After Startup

This malfunction may be due to the activation of the equipment's overload protection device. When the feed volume is too large or there are foreign objects stuck inside the equipment, the cylinder initial cleaning screen may shut down immediately after startup to protect the motor and equipment from damage.

    Screening Effectiveness Malfunctions

    Incomplete Impurity Removal

If the cylinder initial cleaning screen fails to remove impurities thoroughly, it may be due to clogged screen holes. When screen holes are blocked by impurities, screening efficiency decreases, and some impurities cannot be effectively separated. Additionally, a low cylinder rotation speed may affect screening effectiveness because the grain has less time to contact the screen mesh, making it difficult to completely separate impurities. Mismatch between screen mesh specifications and the type of grain or impurity size being screened can also lead to incomplete impurity removal.

    High Grain Breakage Rate

A high cylinder rotation speed may cause an excessive grain breakage rate. Excessive speed can lead to excessive collisions between grains during the screening process, increasing the breakage rate. The hardness of the screen mesh material or overly tight installation may also cause damage to the grain as it passes through.

    Equipment Operation Malfunctions

    Abnormal Noise and Vibration

The cylinder initial cleaning screen may produce abnormal noise and vibration during operation. If the equipment is not installed level, the cylinder may experience eccentric motion during rotation, causing vibration and noise. Worn or unlubricated bearings can also lead to abnormal noise and vibration during operation. Additionally, loose connecting components, such as bolts and nuts, can cause vibration and noise while the equipment is running.

    Belt Slippage or Breakage

Belt slippage is usually due to insufficient belt tension or excessive load. When the belt tension is inadequate, the friction between the belt and pulley decreases, causing the belt to slip. An excessive load may exceed the belt's capacity, leading to slippage or even breakage. Wear or aging of the belt itself can also reduce its strength, making it more prone to breakage.
