Grain Silo

HKB grain silos provide the strength and cost-effectiveness ideal for small commercial operations and large farms. HKB grain silo are made of high-quality hot-dip galvanized steel plates(275g/m2-600g/m2 can be chosen). The vertical friction is supported by the steel silo stiffeners, which are evenly vertically applied in the grain silo, extremely strong earthquake and wind resistance. The connecting screw bolts are served with round galvanized steel washers, the connecting holes are served with age-resistant and water-proof daub belts that are for aviation special purposes. These plates and stiffeners are connected by high-strength screw bolts to keep the grain silo strong and durable. Ranging from 50 to 10,000 Ton.

How do we assure the grain silo solidity?

The auxiliary beams and main beams (trusses) of the silo roof intertwine to form a grid structure, greatly enhancing overall rigidity. Simultaneously, the multiple auxiliary beams provide more bolt anchor points, significantly improving waterproofing and sealing performance. The stable support also facilitates maintenance by repair personnel.	A commercial 275g/m2 double galvanized steel coating increases life and durability. 450g/m2 and 600g/m2 coating available for customized orders. Each sidewall sheet is manufactured from high-tensile steel that can overcome extreme power, pressure.	HKB’s high tension stiffener(can be located inside or outside the grain silo,) profiles make bins stronger allowing to stand well even under an extreme hurricane. Base stiffener boots are coated so they won’t rust over time.

The wide flange H-Beam support structure has the strength and durability to support the heavy hopper bottom silo loads for a long time, and with consideration of wind and seismic requirements.

Scientifically speaking, the Grain Silo capacity should be measured with volume (m3). Even in the same grain Silo, the storage tons will be different for different grains with different densities.
